3D art students have been busy glazing. Here are some glazed and finished pieces from the wheel and hand-built pottery.
Two senior students taking independent study art recently finished some amazing portraits. We are participating with the organization Memory Project, which has art students create portraits for kids around the world who face challenges. These portraits will help children feel valued and give them a piece of personal history.
Students are designing the shirts for the musical, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Here are some of the designs so far! Students have created some great little bowls, vases and mugs on the wheel. It was a messy few days, but lots of fun to be able to see them learn and create something to use!
In art foundations, we have been working with the element texture. Texture is the surface quality of something. Students made a mosaic using real texture by arranging pieces with different textures. Real or actual texture is how something feels. Students also made an artwork using scratchboard paper and implied texture. Implied texture is how we think something feels.
Students came up with their own creative idea using words and type. |
