For this unit, students focused on the different ways they could create the illusion of space or depth in their artwork. We learned about 6 ways you can create space on paper. We watched this video to help us understand how to create space. Students chose an object that is small to use in the foreground and made it very large because it is the closest thing to the viewer. They chose an object that is large and drew it small in the background because it is so far away. Students also used unrealistic color in some places to make it more fun and cartoon-like.
