In painting class, students learned more about life and art of Gustav Klimt. Students chose symbols to represent one of his artwork themes.
We experimented with many different watercolor techniques before starting the painting. This unit focused on how artists experiment with different media and processes. Students then did a few different sketches of possible ideas that could represent life or death. The enlarged their ideas on bigger watercolor paper and added many fun and creative techniques to their design.
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once you grow up.
