Each student focused on a human right for their wire sculpture. Some of the human rights students chose are: the right to own property, the right to marriage and family, the right to freedom of thought and opinion, the right to freedom of slavery, the right to not work long hours and get time off and the right to freedom from arbitrary arrest and exile. Students worked at showing something important about their human right in their final sculpture. It was challenging joining the wire and figuring how to work with this new material. Students had to be open to changing their design to make it work.
