st graders are working with shapes and lines to make patterns. Here are some patterns we practiced to start an artwork inspired by Gustav Klimt.
nd graders finishing painting the clay faces inspired by Pablo Picasso Each student designed and colored their own theme park inspired by Walt Disney.
rd graders just finished the leaf weavings on the paper plate. Students could choose one or many colors to make the leaves of the tree. It was a challenge for some students to remember how to weave, but all were able to weave some leaves on the tree. Enjoy the variety of trees in the Iowa landscape!
th graders are learning how we can express our beliefs and values in art. We learned how Christian art expresses stories from the Bible. Each student chose a story and drew it as broken shapes so light can shine through the cuts and make a lantern.
th graders are working with shapes in creative ways. We drew shapes and lines on a foam piece and then printed it around a center point to make radial symmetry.
