1st graders are painting their clay minibeasts in art class. We are looking at the real colors of each insect or minibeast to help make it look realistic.
2nd graders are just finishing their drawings of their favorite rooms. Students drew a favorite room and then chose a main color for that room. Students are thinking about the emotion they feel in that room and how that color shows that emotion. We looked at artwork by Henri Matisse as inspiration. Can you see the main color in each of the rooms?
4th graders finished painting the clay relief symbols that represent who they are. Here are the finished works!
We looked at the artist Cheeming Boey and how he does really beautiful sharpie designs on white coffee cups. Students experimented with lines and patterns to fill the negative space of their stencil designs with sharpie.
