2nd graders worked with foam and ink to make a creative print. We looked at complementary colors and learned that they are opposites on the color wheel: red & green, orange & blue, yellow & purple. Students printed on the complementary color pairs. 3rd graders have had a great time creating a sculpture with clay. They have been fired in the kiln and we will paint them soon! Now they are creating an assembled sculpture using recycled or 'junk' materials from home. This has been a really fun and exciting project for them. Check out the progress below.
Most of the 4th graders have finished up their landscapes. They created their own landscape by combining a foreground, middle ground and background from different landscape images. 5th graders are learning how to look closely at objects and draw them to make them look real. We talked about proportion, contour lines and value. Here are some drawings of ordinary objects. |
