In 2nd grade art we are learning different ways of printing. We are also learning about colors and the color wheel. While looking at Piet Mondrain's later abstract artwork, students saw that he uses black and white with the primary colors: red, yellow and blue. Students each made monotype prints (one of a kind) by painting on a clear plastic sheet and then laying their paper on it and rubbing the back. The painted colors were printed (copied) onto their paper.
