7th grade students just finished their paper cuts inspired by Chinese paper cuts. Each student chose an animal and cut out shapes to show different colored paper underneath. They look great! It was challenging for many of the students, but they persisted and made a beautiful artwork with color!

7th grade students learned more about China and how they make creative paper cut designs. We are starting our own paper cut using an animal as inspiration. 7th graders created their own design with radial symmetry. They painted one with warm colors, and one with cool colors. Then they cut them apart to make a paper weaving. Look how the warm and cool colors contrast! |
