8th graders learned about the surrealist style of art. Surrealist work is often mysterious, strange and irrational. It shows the unconscious part of your mind by being dream-like. Students created 2 different drawings; a room and a landscape. They drew their favorite design on black paper and traced over the lines with elmer's glue. After it was dry, students added chalk pastel color. It was fun to see the creativity in this work!
