7th grade artists learning what a tessellation is and created their own unique tessellation shape and design. A tessellation is a design that is made of shapes or polygons, can be repeated in all directions, has no gaps or overlaps and has common vertices. M. C. Escher is well-known for creating interesting and complex tessellations. Each student created their own unique tessellation shape, repeated and colored it with contrasting colors.
