In painting class, we looked at some beautiful places that we would love to visit someday. Students found images of these inspiring places and turned one image into a painting.
We also investigated the art and life of Friedrich Hundertwasser. He was an Austrian artist who created abstracted paintings with lots of repetition. Students used his style with layers of color, simplified forms and repetition when painting their inspiring places.
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once you grow up.
