We had a guest artist come on Wednesday to show students how to create pottery using the wheel. Gene Polson has worked as a ceramic artist for over 40 years. He teaches classes in Marcus and LeMars, Iowa now and also makes his own pottery to sell. He owns a company called Pilot Creek Pottery. It was great to see him create plates, vases, bowls and cylinders on the wheel. Students in the 3D art class got to make something on the wheel with his help. We will continue to make more things on the wheel in the 3D art class.
