Both students are also working on realistic portraits for the Memory Project. They are creating portraits for 2 youth from the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa.
Each student in painting class practiced drawing many different pieces of candy. After that, we chose one of our favorite to crop and enlarge. Students worked with a grid to enlarge it. They painted the candy with realistic colors because pop art was about everyday and popular things at the time. Aren't these paintings sweet...?
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once you grow up.
