High school artists have been exploring the work of modern paper-cutters Beatrice Coron and Joe Boruchow. We watched a great TED Talk on Beatrice Coron's paper cut work.

We are inspired by Beatrice Coron's paper cut examples and how she tells stories in her cut paper. Students have been working on different story ideas and are starting to cut into their paper. We had fun brainstorming many fairy tales, legends, myths and other stories. Here are some works in progress based off the stories Tangled and The Nightmare before Christmas.
