st graders are looking at how they can make shapes using their hands. We traced hands today and saw that we created lots of little shapes by doing that. Next week we will continue coloring the little shapes and do something creative with our feet!
rd graders will be looking at how they can be creative with different materials and processes. They will make art that has expressive color.
th graders will be working on artwork that expresses their beliefs, interests and values. They will choose symbols that represent who they are. Here are some beginning drawings of 'important things'.
th graders are looking at how shapes can be used in creative ways to make designs. They are learning about positive and negative space, contrast and variety in making shape designs.
We are looking at how color can show emotions. In art class, we studied the paintings of Howard Hodgekin and saw how he uses: colors, lines and shapes to paint his feelings and memories.
